What Causes Swirl Marks?

- Wiping a dusty car with a dry cloth

- Incorrect drying technique after washing
- Dealer polishing with incorrect equipment before delivery
Can Swirl Marks Be Removed?
Yes — completely. Swirl marks exist within the clear coat layer of your paint. Machine polishing removes a microscopic layer of the clear coat, eliminating the scratches and restoring a flat, reflective surface. This is what we call paint correction.
Depending on the severity, a single-stage correction removes 50–60% of defects while a three-stage full correction removes up to 95%. The result is mirror-level paint clarity that you simply cannot achieve with wax or polish alone.
